  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT the March 3, 2026, Committee of the Whole Agenda be approved as circulated.

Committee of the Whole Minutes - February 17, 2026

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT the minutes of the February 17, 2026, Committee of the Whole be adopted as circulated.

To allow the variances at subject property in support of a seven-lot subdivision.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT the March 3, 2026, report titled "2025-335-VP, 11043 244 Street, Development Variance Permit" be forwarded to the next Regular Council Meeting.

Summary of the City’s existing hazard-related land use regulations and outline a phased Hazards Framework project that will undertake technical studies to translate land use and climate related hazards into clear and consistent development regulations. 

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT the March 3, 2026, report titled "Hazard Framework Project Overview" be forwarded to the next Regular Council Meeting.

Development of an Exempt Compensation Policy that formalizes the City’s administration to exempt staff compensation, intended to support the attraction and retention of qualified employees, ensuring the organization has the talent required to successfully deliver on Council’s strategic priorities and achieve its Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT the March 3, 2026, report titled "Exempt Compensation Policy" be forwarded to the next Regular Council Meeting.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    The meeting will be closed to the public pursuant to Sections 90(1) of the Community Charter as the subject matter being considered is related to the following:

    • Section 90(1)(a) - personal information about an identifiable individual who holds or is being considered for a position as an officer, employee or agent of the municipality or another position appointed by the municipality;
    • Section 90(1)(b) - personal information about an identifiable individual who is being considered for a municipal award or honour, or who has offered to provide a gift to the municipality on condition of anonymity;
    • Section 90(1)(g) - litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality;
    • Section 90(1)(i) - the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose;
    • Section 90(1)(k) - negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a municipal service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in the view of the council, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality if they were held in public.

    Any other matter that may be brought before the Council that meets the requirements for a meeting closed to the public pursuant to Sections 90(1) and 90(2) of the Community Charter or Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
